iOS - Set Up Text Replies

We're thrilled to be able to offer Pebble Text Replies to iPhone users!
Text Replies allow Pebble users on iOS to reply to incoming SMS or iMessages using
 voice and canned text response.


To set up Text Replies,

  • Launch the iOS Pebble Time app  
  • Tap the three dots in the top right to go to the main menu
  • Select Settings 
  • Eligible phones will automatically display an "Actionable Notifications" section. Tap Setup beside the Text Replies option.

  • When you arrive at the Setup guide, press the continue button at the bottom of the screen.
  • Select your country or carrier below to continue:
 


Australian customers
UK customers
Customers in the Netherlands
US - T-Mobile customers
US - Verizon Customers
US - AT&T Customers On-Contract
 


Sneak Peek
Grant Pebble access to your contacts and read through and agree to the appropriate policies.
 

When prompted, please enter your phone number.
You'll receive a security code by text message. 
Enter the security code in the Pebble app, and tap "Confirm Code."

 

 

You'll receive a message that your account has been successfully linked to your Pebble account. Press continue, and you'll be able begin using Text Replies on your watch!


Please note: you'll receive a "check in" security message every 30 days to re-authenticate your account. The validation is automatic so you won't need to take any action, but you will see the messages in your notification center.

Text Replies can be sent to loved ones within supported countries.

Verizon Customers
When prompted, please enter your phone number.
Verizon will send you an SMS with a security code for your Pebble.

Enter the security code in the Pebble app, and tap "Confirm Code."

You'll receive a message that permission has been granted and then redirected back to the app. Press continue, and you'll be able begin using Text Replies on your watch!

AT&T Customers On-Contract
Please note: 
prepaid AT&T customers will not be able to test this feature.

If you are on cellular data, simply tap "Allow" to verify your account.


Otherwise, if you are using Wi-Fi, the next screen will contain information about your phone carrier.
Tap the "Verify Now" button at the top to open your text messages and authenticate your account. 

The recipient and text will be generated automatically. Hit send to text the word "there" to your carrier. 

You'll receive a message that permission has been granted and then redirected back to the app. Press continue, and you'll be able begin using Text Replies on your watch!
